My Bio

Professional Profile
Over forty years of journalism, thirty in public service: this is the baggage I bring with me. My career was shaped and consolidated within RAI, particularly in the editorial staff of Tg2, where for three decades I covered Italy through news, politics, feature stories, digital innovation, the economy, and our diverse food and wine.
It was in this context that I produced numerous reports on almost all wine regions, interviewing the people who make it and describing the beauty of the places with Eat Parade, the specialized program on Tg2 that has marked the history of food and wine on TV. This experience, combined with my qualification as a sommelier, has allowed me to hone a language capable of combining the authority of economic information with a passion for the wine sector.

A new chapter, the same passion
After my long television career at RAI concluded, a new professional chapter has begun for me. This isn’t a finish line, but a new beginning: today I’m more motivated than ever to dedicate all my energy to the world of wine, which is and remains my natural habitat.
My goal as a journalist is to tell the story of wine in a modern way, unconventional, with a new freedom, using the power of images and the web to reach straight to the reader’s heart. Today, even more than yesterday, my career is moving along a precise path: the narration of wine as an economic, cultural, and human value.

My roots: where everything it all began
My connection with the land and wine wasn’t born behind a desk, planned out at a table, but is rooted in my childhood in Sicily, in Milazzo. I still remember the vineyards, the harvest, and my maternal grandfather’s cellar: to my seven-year-old eyes, it seemed like an immense kingdom. There, among the intense aromas of the must and the ritual of the first tapping of the new wine with my father, a curiosity was born that has never left me. Although those barrels are no longer there, my love for that “living liquid” and for human labor has remained intact, growing with me through every stage of my life.

The Web Magazine: a free and international voice
WineReporter represents my natural evolution. It is an independent, professional, authentic, and unfiltered Web Magazine, created to give space in particular to the new ideas that inspire Italian and international wine, to new generations, and to the culture of good food. I chose a bilingual structure to ensure the project has a global reach, transcending any provincialism. I’m not a wine enthusiast, but a journalist who has chosen wine as a territory. For me, wine – I specify it – is not just a product, but a universal language. And this space is where I continue to speak it, every day, with renewed enthusiasm.
