Founded in 1930, the Intorcia family has preserved the secret of authentic Marsala in its underground vaults, preserving it through the “Heritage”<\/strong> project: a rigorous selection of the most precious reserves to restore international prestige to this territory.<\/p>\n

Francesco Intorcia’s Heritage Tasting – Marsala Riserva Superiore Ambra Dolce 1980<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"The visual examination reveals a luminous amber, a prelude to a nose of extraordinary complexity. The notes chase each other in a shifting kaleidoscope: from salted caramel to jujube, passing through dried apricot and a subtle smoky vein. The typical traits of noble oxidation then emerge: carob, candied orange, nutmeg and a deep finish of chestnut honey, coffee beans and tobacco, enhanced by refreshing hints of calamint and iodine. In particular, salted caramel, chestnut honey and carob are the sweet and dark soul of this nectar, the true “pillars” of aged Marsala.<\/p>\n

The sip is an enveloping and elegant embrace. Despite its rich sugar content, the wine surprises with a vibrant freshness that enhances the drinkability, avoiding easy cloying tendencies.
