Young, dynamic, with a passion for Sicily and the desire to make the island known and to communicate the world of wine with a new language. It is Generazione Next,<\/strong> the new generation of Assovini Sicilia<\/strong> , a group of producers under 40, already active members of family businesses, who have decided to continue along the path of the spirit and values of the Assovini Sicilia associationism, with the aim of enhancing the territory and Sicilian wine production.<\/p>\n

The group, born within the Assovini Sicilia association, currently has twenty-six members, and has just elected Gabriella Favara<\/strong> as president, together with Enrica Spadafora<\/strong> , vice president, and six directors of the board of directors : Costante Planeta, Serena Costanzo, Pietro Pollara, Cristina Madaudo, Pierfilippo Marchello.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGenerazione Next is future, union, continuity. I am thrilled to see how step by step this team is taking shape, with the ever-increasing enthusiasm of contributing all together to the success of our sector and our Sicily-continent\u201d,<\/em> said the new president Gabriella Favara.
\n<\/strong> New forms of communication, involvement of Generation Z, internal training, valorization of the territory, are the main elements of the \u201cManifesto\u201d of Generation Next.<\/p>\n

Then Gabriella Favara explained: \u201cWe want to ignite the spark of curiosity for wine in young people, telling authentic stories and creating moments of sharing that speak of passion, territory and future with a simple and engaging language. Our goal is to inspire them to see wine not only as a product, but as a journey rich in culture, emotions and beauty, deeply linked to our Sicily. Great attention will also be paid to training, an essential aspect for exchanging our experiences in the group, increasing them with the support of external specialists and sharing them not only with the collaborators of our companies\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

And if Next generation indicates, in general, the physiological generational transition that companies in every sector experience with the arrival of young people in the family of entrepreneurs, Generazione Next by Assovini Sicilia refers to a group of young producers, curious and eager to discover, study, linked by a great love for the Sicilian wine and the desire to bring it to the world through the winning formula of associationism and teamwork.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am truly excited and honored to serve as Vice President among this group of such talented and determined young people,\u201d<\/em> added Vice President Enrica Spadafora<\/strong> . “Being part of such a dynamic and prepared team is a great responsibility for me, but above all a wonderful opportunity. We can’t wait to start working together and transform the many ideas into beautiful concrete projects” <\/em><\/p>\n

There are several themes and actions planned that the group wants to implement and that involve different sectors such as management, hospitality, production, tasting, wine tourism, communication and marketing, coaching, team building.<\/p>\n

\u201cAssovini Sicilia promoted and supported the creation of the Generazione Next group because it represents the future of our association, continuing to promote the world of wine with a new language, capable of intercepting the changes underway,\u201d<\/em> commented Mariangela Cambria, president of Assovini Sicilia.<\/strong><\/p>\n
