In particular, there is an increase in buyers from the top three target markets for Italian wine: <strong>the United States (+5%),<\/strong> Germany (+5%) and the United Kingdom, which makes a leap forward of 30%, while there is a decline from China (-20%). In Europe, very positive feedback also from France (+30%), Belgium (+20%) and the Netherlands (+20%). Switzerland (+10%) and Japan (+10%) also performed well. Arrivals from Canada and Brazil were stable. A result that takes on even more value in a context made complex by the tightening of duties by the USA and geopolitical tensions.<\/p>\n<p>As for Vinitaly and the City, the off-show dedicated to wine lovers in the historic center of Verona, more than 50,000 tasting tickets were sold, the same figure as in 2024, but with one less day of event. Vinitaly 2025 therefore closes as an even more international event, increasingly business and strategic: a central asset for the future of Italian wine and a platform for dialogue and discussion between over 4,000 companies in the sector, trade associations, national and European institutions. For the first time, in fact, <strong>two European commissioners are also officially visiting Vinitaly: Christophe Hansen (Agriculture and Rural Development) and Oliv\u00e9r V\u00e1rhelyi (Health).<\/strong> Vinitaly is also hosting the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICE Agency, which collaborated in the creation of the incoming plan for operators from abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>Vinitaly 2025 closes with a successful edition, in which the world of Italian wine has been able to express unity and the ability to react, even in the face of initial difficulties linked to the introduction of US duties<\/em> \u2013 comments <strong>Federico Bricolo<\/strong> , President of Veronafiere \u2013.<em> Verona has reaffirmed itself as the European capital of wine, thanks to the participation of two EU Commissioners, who announced new concrete initiatives to support the supply chain from Vinitaly, together with the ministers and the many institutional presences in Verona during the days of the event. A strong signal, at a time that required clarity, cohesion and strategic vision. Vinitaly also consolidates its ties with the United States: after its debut in 2024, it will return to Chicago on 5 and 6 October this year with the second edition of Vinitaly USA. On this market, Italian wine has clear ideas: to continue building a solid and long-lasting relationship with American consumers, who have always been the protagonists of the success of our exports&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>Vinitaly confirms itself as a solid brand that has been able to provide the world of wine with a systemic response to the international scenario<\/em> \u2013 explains the general director of Veronafiere, <strong>Adolfo Rebughini<\/strong> \u2013. <em>Among the new features of this edition of Vinitaly, the debut of Vinitaly Tourism, the format dedicated to wine tourism, and the entry into the schedule of emerging trends such as No\/Low alcohol wines, RAW Wine and wines in amphora. These are initiatives that enrich the trade fair experience, confirming a show that not only listens to and photographs the sector, but anticipates its trajectories. Vinitaly, today more than ever, represents a strategic asset in a time of profound transformation.
